Refunds
This policy covers fees and deposits for Apiengage financial auditing engagements. Website inquiries are free and do not create charges.
Eligibility
Refunds apply only to amounts paid under a signed engagement letter. Indicative fee ranges on the website are not invoices.
Timeframe to request
Cancellation or refund requests should be sent in writing to info@apiengage.digital as soon as practicable. We confirm receipt within five business days.
Full refund
If we cancel an engagement before fieldwork begins for reasons within our control (for example, an independence conflict discovered after signing), any deposit paid is refunded in full.
Partial refund
If you cancel after planning has started but before fieldwork, we refund the deposit minus time already incurred at the rates in the engagement letter, documented in a short statement of work performed.
Non-refundable items
- Fees for fieldwork days already delivered
- Third-party confirmation fees already paid to banks or agents on your behalf
- Agreed travel costs already incurred for on-site counts
Work already started
Once substantive fieldwork begins, fees for completed stages remain payable. Unused future stages may be cancelled with a credit note for amounts prepaid toward those stages only.
Deposits
Engagement letters typically require a deposit before planning. Deposits secure calendar time during busy season and are applied to the final fee unless a refund applies under this policy.
Rescheduling
You may request one reschedule of fieldwork dates without penalty if notice arrives at least ten business days before the planned start and our team has capacity. Later changes may incur a rescheduling fee stated in the letter.
No-shows
If agreed on-site days are missed without notice and our team attended as scheduled, those days remain billable.
Refund process and timing
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within fifteen business days after written approval. You will receive a confirmation email with the amount and reference.
Refund method
Refunds follow the original bank transfer or card channel when possible. If that channel is closed, we arrange an alternative transfer to a named company account.
