About Apiengage
A financial auditing practice built for Taiwan mid-market closings — not a brochure of slogans.
Origin
Started from busy-season friction
Apiengage grew out of years spent inside year-end closings where confirmations arrived late, inventory bridges were incomplete, and management letters repeated the same access-control note. We set up in Taipei to run engagements that surface those issues early enough for boards to act.
Our clients are privately held companies, regional subsidiaries, and finance teams preparing their first formal audit opinion. We stay close to the ledger — trial balances, shipping logs, bank letters — rather than abstract frameworks.
How we work
Each engagement has a named partner and a fieldwork lead. Planning starts with materiality and a realistic calendar tied to your board date. We prefer interim notes on cut-off and cash when something will derail the closing meeting.
Independence is non-negotiable. We decline bookkeeping on the same audit year and document conflicts before the engagement letter is signed.
What we value in the room
Early findings over late surprises
If inventory cut-off looks weak in week two, you hear it in week two — while schedules can still move.
Letters written for operators
Management letters name the process owner and the practical fix, not only the control theory.
Respect for Taiwan filing calendars
We plan around board packs and local filing windows, not an imported template that ignores them.
