Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Apiengage uses cookies to run essential functions and, with your consent, to understand how the site is used.
Types we use
Essential cookies remember your cookie preference and keep basic site features working. These do not require consent beyond what is needed to provide the service you request.
Analytics cookies help us see aggregated visit patterns such as which pages are read most often. They run only if you choose Accept on the cookie banner.
Cookie table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| apiengage_cookie_consent | Stores whether you accepted or rejected non-essential cookies | 1 year (localStorage) | Apiengage |
| _ga | Distinguishes visitors for aggregated analytics (only if accepted) | 2 years | Google Analytics |
| _ga_* | Persists session state for analytics (only if accepted) | 2 years | Google Analytics |
How to manage cookies
Use Accept or Reject on our banner when it appears. Your choice is stored under the key apiengage_cookie_consent. Rejecting non-essential cookies does not block browsing, forms, or reading engagement pages.
You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser settings, or use browser controls to block third-party cookies. Blocking all cookies may reset your preference banner on the next visit.
Third-party cookies
If you accept analytics, Google may set cookies as listed above and process data under its own terms. We do not load analytics scripts when you reject non-essential cookies.
Impact of disabling
Disabling essential preference storage may cause the banner to reappear. Disabling analytics only affects our ability to see aggregated traffic; it does not affect requesting an audit estimate or reading site content.
